Several vacancies are available for the position of Insurance Broking Officer, being an exciting opportunity in a newly set-up Insurance Brokerage House with high potential for growth. The role holders will be responsible for development and growth of formidable Insurance Business at their assigned branches.

Responsibilities for the Sales Job

  • Undertake business development initiatives to achieve the set business target.
  • Establish initial business from an existing client base.
  • Create new client relationships and partnerships through high standards of customer service.
  • Execution of day to day Insurance operations at Branch level which entails sale of insurance products, posting of risk details, claim administration and documentation as well as arrangement of renewals.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on insurance transactions.
  • Deliver consistent, seamless and trusted customer service to ensure customer retention and loyalty.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of customer enquiries as per laid down policies and procedures.
  • Collect premium from all business transacted at the Branch as per laid down procedures.
  • Participate in Insurance sales activation programs organized by management in conjunction with other business partners to leverage potential business opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with external and internal requirements, policies and procedures.

Candidate’s Qualifications for the Sales Job in Kenya 

  • University degree in a Business related course
  • AIIK Diploma / CII Diploma or any insurance related qualification is an added advantage.
  • A minimum of a C+ in Math’s, English, and Mean Grade.
  • At least 1 year experience as an Insurance Sales Representative
  • Demonstrated consistent high performance, with 100% of targets met or above.

Desirable Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, and negotiation skills with the ability to network and generate new business
  • Excellent sales and client relationship skills.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of insurance products.
  • High integrity levels; maintaining utmost confidentiality of business information in their possession.
  • Great attention to detail.
