Job Title: Assistant Program Manager – Training and Mentorship

Our Client is a Training institution on digital programs.

They seek to hire an Assistant Program Manager for Training and Mentorship.

The main scope and objective of this role are to assist the Program Lead in the overall development, implementation, roll out & reporting of the Training and Mentorship strategic plan and targets.

The job requires working with other teams to ensure the program activities are aligned with the objectives and goals of the Organization.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Program Lead in the Overall development, implementation, roll out & reporting of the Training and Mentorship strategic plan and targets.
  • Drive Publicity, Mobilization, and Partnerships building for Countrywide Training to achieve Monthly Training targets of Youth/Women Trained.
  • Assist in Planning and Coordinating the Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly plans for the Training and Post-Training activities including the Mentorship Schedule/Calendar, and ensure proper coordination and transition of Trainees into earning a decent wage through Digital Work.
  • Oversee the daily, weekly, and monthly plans for the training activities both physical and virtual across the Country.
  • Ensure proper coordination of Training, key events, activities, and meetings.
  • Provide timely progress reports on the training.
  • Assist in planning Mentorship and Job Linkages Events/Webinars to enable more Trainees to get exposure and be linked to Digital Work.
  • Create and maintain a Database of Job Partners, Online Work Companies/Platforms – both local and international that can offer Digital and Online Work.
  • Collect feedback of the Training & Post-Training Program and assess needs & recommendations from
  • Training/Mentorship through Evaluation Surveys, Focus groups and Coordination, and collection of Success Stories.
  • Develop and implement appropriate tools and related guidelines including Curriculum Development and Review for continuous improvement of the Training program implementation and impact assessment in close consultation with the Program Lead.
  • Lead, Mentor, and Supervise a Team of Trainers and Mentors.
  • Assist in Conducting Training Meetings including Trainers’ Meetings to agree on Training structures and modalities and to understand their needs and recommendations to improve the Training.
  • Team leadership & support to the Trainers and Mentors through check-ins, calls, visits, to ensure the Program meets its objectives and provides guidance to them on performance management and appraisals.
  • Assess Trainers’ skills, delivery, performance, and productivity to identify areas of improvement.
  • Supervising the Mentorship and collection of Success Stories by Mentors.
  • Monitor success of the Youth Trained and Mentored getting linked to Digital Work.
  • Resolve any issues that arise in the Training/Mentorship on time.
  • Effectively communicate with staff in management.

Qualifications and Skills Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, management, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in Management, preferably Training, Mentorship, and development management.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong Leadership skills.
  • Superb track record in developing and executing successful training and mentorship programs.
  • Experience with online work/freelancing is an added advantage
