Our Client, one of the largest in the Banking sector in Kenya is looking for a strong Corporate Director to head a team of Agribusiness, Business and Commercial Clients relationship management professionals to implement, enable, scale, entrench, engage and commercialize the sector value proposition through client engagement platforms and banking arrangements.

Responsibilities

Strategy:

  • Leads and executes the sector value proposition, related toolbox(es) and client journeys.
  • Provides input into the overall segment growth and related service providers.
  • Tracks and reports on adoption of the strategy and provides feedback to various domains

Clients:

  • Implements the client value proposition in country with approved customisations.
  • Drives and entrenches a consistent client experience through all engagement platforms.
  • Stays abreast of market and competitive developments in order to provide input to innovative and value-added services to gain market share.

Product:

  • Drives multi-product client experiences to address business events, distributed through client engagement platforms.
  • Delivers SBG and 3rd party products and services to the sector through a client centric platform.

Financial Management:

  • Accountable for the achievement of the sector financial and non-financial metrics
  • Ensures that remedial actions are defined and implemented

Risk, Reg, Prudential and Compliance:

  • Accountable for risk management and adherence to all governance standards for the sector
  • Develops appropriate recovery and resolution plans to protect the sector
  • Drives satisfactory audit outcomes as gauged by Group Internal Audit.
  • Follows the parameters of the key trade off decisions at client level

People:

  • Leads the team in line with the bank’s leadership identity, core values and People Promise.
  • Ensures alignment to the People & Culture standards with regards to employee-related matters.
  • Provides input into talent strategy developed by People and Culture.
  • Embeds Group culture initiatives (e.g. Vuka, Care and Growth)

Requirements

  • Minimum: A Bachelor’s degree in Business related studies.
  • 10+ years’ experience in a senior Relationship Management role in Banking industry
  • Proven experience in developing, designing and enabling sector value propositions.
  • Experience with existing products and processes as it relates to the sector.
  • Experience in managing risk and providing specialist input
  • Experience in successfully growing and managing the sector’s customer base
