We are looking for a Manager to join our team and foster a healthy learning environment in collaboration with institutions abroad. The managers main responsibility will be directing and managing programs; and supervising operations and personnel. S/he will also provide leadership to ensure high standards of service and oversee compliance with various regulations, success of programs, and operation of all business activities. S/he should have a comprehensive understanding of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and its regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operations: Ensure all business activities adhere to legal guidelines and policies. Build an effective team and bring out the best in people to build a culture of high performance and engagement. Set up and implement process, systems, policies to support effective operations and maintain the finance and legal integrity of the business.
  • Leadership: Establish the business’s goals and objectives. Create and enhance a result-oriented culture through inspirational leadership and shining as a positive role model.
  • Personnel Management: Take part in the recruitment and training of new employees. Perform regular employee evaluations to determine areas of improvement.
  • Strategy: Design business strategies and plans to meet the business goals. Develop and set annual performance objectives; develop, maintain, and use information systems and records necessary to show progress on performance objectives.
  • Financial management: Develop a comprehensive annual budget and perform periodic budget analyses. Make sure that the business has enough resources such as personnel, material, and equipment etc.
  • Develop alliances: Develop a rock-solid partnership with various partners abroad and strong relationships in country with government bodies, faculties and other institutions/organizations that the business may partner or collaborate with.
  • Manage programs: Lead planning and the implementation of the various programs, coordinating and prioritizing program activities with close monitoring and evaluating the efficiency to maximize impact. Assess and identify new opportunities for growth in current and prospective markets.

Skills & Competencies

  • Must have knowledge of TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) regulations and national educational regulations.
  • Mission-driven, articulate professional with substantial management experience.
  • Keen analytical, organization and problem-solving skills which support and enable sound decision-making.
  • Demonstrated capacity to think strategically with expertise in complex problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills, displays good judgment.
  • Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Prior experience working with institutions of higher learning/education will be an added advantage.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Education, Strategic Management or related field; Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • At least 10 years’ experience with 4 years in management roles.
  • Professional certification preferred.
