Flower Purchase / Quality Officer – Kentegra Pyrethrum Company 2021

Kentegra Pyrethrum Company Limited located in Nakuru is llooking for a Flower Purchase / Quality
Officer for its team.

Key roles for this position are:-

• Purchasing and weighing of dry flowers
• Ensuring Flower Purchase Data Input is done in a timely and correct manner
• Compiling and sending of flower purchase data
• Planning and providing support in making monthly flower purchase schedules
• Analyzing flower purchase and quality trends and advising the supervisor
• In charge of all flower purchase equipment (Cranes, POS Machines Power Banks)
• Quality assessment of flower before purchasing as per set SOP’s
• Dry flower sampling after every flower purchase
• Ensuring farmers adherence to quality parameters set by the company.
• Training farmers on flower quality expectations before purchasing.
• Ensuring all flower samples are sent to the lab for analysis.
• Following up of flower report cards and updating the flower sample tracker.
• Planning for transport and logistics after every flower purchase.
• Supporting the team with technical expertise on quality assurance

Qualifications and work experience required for this role

• Diploma or Degree in any agriculture related field from an accredited institution.

Skills and Knowledge

• Proven experience in quality assurance
• Proven experience in farmer training programs.
• Proficiency in using farm produce data collection tools, systems and equipments.
• Proficiency in MS Office and database skills
• Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills.
• Experience in reporting skills.
• Good strategic, analytical, creative and presentation skills.
• Excellent decision making and organizational skills.
• Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Motivated and self-driven.
• Have a valid motorbike DL with 2+ years riding experience.
• A motor vehicle driving DL will be an added advantage.

Work Experience

• At least 2 years work experience in Farm produce quality assurance or purchasing process.
