ICAP of Columbia University (registered in Kenya as Center for International Programs-Kenya) is working in partnership with the Ministry of Health to strengthen Public Health Initiatives in Kenya.

Applications are invited for the following fixed term PROJECT RISE POSITIONS

Job Title: Project RISE | Country Program Officer


Overall Job Function

Reporting to the Kenya Country Director, and working in close collaboration with the RISE Senior Technical Advisor and in-country National HIV Programs, the Country Program officer will be responsible for the country-level introduction and transitioning to optimized ARV drug regimens and new ARV formulations in all PLWH.


  • Collaborate with local counterpart consortium partners, the Ministry of Health-National AIDS and STI Control Program, and other key stakeholders to plan, implement, assess, and monitor interventions related to ARV optimization
  • Participate in development and upgrade of ARV optimization Enhanced data System visualization platform, revision of national HIV treatment guidelines, trainings, meetings, sensitizations, and workshops with country-level partners and stakeholders
  • Foster strong communication and lead or participate in meetings with country counterparts at consortium organizations, the Ministry of Health, and US Government representatives, and other regional stakeholders on ARV drug optimization
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to represent ICAP and RISE at technical forums
  • Provide technical assistance to ensure regular monitoring – including enhanced patient monitoring and stock monitoring, track progress against established targets, and recommend appropriate corrective measures throughout transitions.
  • Contribute to grant management and reporting processes
  • Supervise project-specific staff at a country-level as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Masters’ degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field
  • Medical degree
  • At least 5 years of related work experience with Ministry of Health
