Career Management Centre is a Human Resources Management Consulting firm that provides outsourcing HR services both at a strategic and operational levels.

Our client, a Microfinance, seeks to recruit a Customer Service Officer to be based in Nairobi.

Monthly Gross Salary: Kes 35,000

Job Purpose: Maintain and retain customers, attract new ones through provision of quality after sales service. Grow our wallet share of existing customers through cross-selling.

Key Accountabilities

  • Growth in deposits and achievement of branch sales targets and efficiency in service delivery.
  • Good customer-bank Relationship and Management of attrition.
  • Individual productivity on attainment of sales and service targets.
  • Number of Referrals and targeted accounts converted.
  • Customer satisfaction.
  • Compliance with the bank’s operation requirements.
  • Monitor, on a continuous basis, all transitions to ensure that unusual and suspicious transactions are reported to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO).
  • Obtain, verify and maintain proper identification of customers wishing to open accounts or make transactions whether directly or through proxy.
  • Adhere to all the due diligence measures when establishing customer relationships as enshrined in the Bank’s
  • AML, KYC & Bank’s Operations policies, procedures and guidelines.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • University degree in business or any other related field from a recognized university/institution
  • Must have worked in a bank for at least 2 years
  • Customer Care and/or Sales and Marketing training
  • Well versed in the various banking processes, products and KYC/AML compliance requirements
  • Computer literacy is essential
  • Proficiency in the computer applications and Orbit R core banking systems.
