Minimum Qualifications and experience:

• Certificate in food production/catering from a recognized institution.
• 3 years’ experience as a cook in a school or large institution.
• Covid 19 vaccination Certificate and relevant public health immunization.
• Health and Safety Training.
• Basic First Aid Training.
• Experience with vegetarian meals.

Experience

• Ability to observe high standards of hygiene when preparing and handling food in the kitchen.
• Ability to handle and clean up large cooking utensils.
• Good knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods.
• Observing Health & safety and manufacture guidelines when handling kitchen equipment.

Person Specification:

• Good communication; able to understand verbal and written instructions.
• High level of physical fitness and good stamina.
• Quick to move around and able to multi-task.
• Ability to stand long hours.
• Good personal hygiene.
• Good timekeeping and attendance.
• A good team player.
