Position: Program Coordinator
Job Brief

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring and coordinating Business /entrepreneurship training, improve women project projection, coordinate the programs efficiently, and track the success of the programs.  Provide operational and office administrative support to the Executive  Director, reconciling internal records, opening, and closing sales accounts, providing back up support for our women accelerator program and community project, monitoring and coordinating records, providing administrative coordination with manager and other Operations activities.

The Role and Responsibility

  • Coordinate, manage, and monitor the workings of various department in the organization
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Work with Director on resource planning, availability and allocation according to projects pipeline
  • Work with team on project work to keep the project going according to schedule
  • Communicate to the management changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and monthly written reports
  • Participate in team’s performance reviews and Perform quality assurance
  • Pre-accelerator- Facilitate deal flow generation, application review, guiding entrepreneurs on their proposals, and working with mentors to review the progress.
  • Accelerator- Support growth of new businesses and deliver programs to enable growth of business. Assist with the creation of business plans, goals for the accelerator period, and tracking the process.
  • Partnerships- seek partnerships with other organizations for providing services to accelerating startups, marketing the program, sponsorships, Act as a liaison with the government and Industry.
  • Marketing and Business Development- Represent Tapona at public events and actively promote it through various channels.
  • Events and workshops: Provide feedback to the Tapona team regarding appropriate bootcamps/workshops/events/webinars for the accelerator; facilitate these events with a small team.
  • Use digital and print media to create promotional strategies and materials to market programs to potential clients and community members.
  • Track client progression and keep records of client activity and staff involvement in the process.
  • Track and analyze project performance, cost performance, schedule, and report to the management on the changes in project scope and costs, being able to suggest improvements to all the above.


  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Project Management other related fields.
  • Proven work experience as Entrepreneurship Project Coordinator, an accelerator program, a similar role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to do admin work and lead diverse teams
  • Ability to work under pressure, with short turnaround
  • Experience creating work breakdown structure (WBS) – translate requirements into tasks
  • Experience with task scheduling and resource assignment
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Experienced user of MS Office toolset (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Only Ladies, a driving license will be an added advantage
