Our client, Sotik Tea wishes to recruit a self-motivated and results-driven General Manager who will be reporting to the Managing Director.

Responsibilities with a Focus on the Agricultural Context

  • Assist the Managing Director ¡n designing strategy, setting goals for growth, developing and implementing growth strategies, overseeing daily agricultural business operations.
  • Create, manage, control agricultural budgets and optimize expenses.
  • Improving revenue for the Company by controlling costs and utilizing analysis of financial accounting data.
  • Evaluating agricultural performance, productivity, improve operations and financial performance; and relating these to overall performance of the business.
  • Researching and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Generating reports and giving presentations.
  • Set agricultural policies and processes.
  • Hiring agricultural and where appropriate administrative employees.
  • Oversee recruitment and training of new employees and low-level managers and staff.
  • Ensure employees are motivated, productive and develop professionally.
  • Direct the agricultural employee assessment process.
  • Prepare regular reports.
  • Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations.
  • Provide solutions to Issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors).

General Manager Requirements

  • Strong track record in an agricultural context and proven management capability.
  • Good knowledge of different business functions.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly organized.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail..
  • Computer literate.
  • Proactive nature.
  • Experience in planning and budgeting
  • Knowledge of business process and functions (Finance, HR, Procurement, Operations etc.).
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.
